The Mahina is Welehu. The anahulu is Hōʻemi. Lonoikamakahiki! Makahiki season is here with the rising of Makaliʻi (Pleiades) at sunset, and other observed seasonal change. Shifting from Kū to Lono. Hoʻoilo, wet season is beginning with Welehu. We’re in the midst of Fall and Scorpio season.

foster connection to canoe crops & native plants
build community, share space with each other

get involved in developing our shared Hub spaces/facilities

Get grounded in the soil, learn about this month’s Meakanu o ka Mahina: Uki (native sedge) & Maia (banana). Then craft your own farm-fresh holiday centerpiece using native and canoe plants, fibers, and locally grown blooms.

Onomea Country Market is a family style run corner store and seasonal market located at the end of the scenic route in Pepeʻekeo. We carry local produce from Hawaiʻi farms and locally made products from Hawaiʻi farmers, artists, and makers. We also carry grocery and convenience items. Along with Piʻilani Kitchen and The Lei Bar, we are apart of Onomea Hub.
