Maker Spotlight: On The Fly Catering
On The Fly is owned by a Filipino chef who lived in L.A. eating Mexican food and now lives on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi, making creative food with many cultural influences. Some of his signature dishes are pineapple pork adobo, pork chile verde, tamarind chicken wings, and garlic fried rice.
Check out their Instagram for some mouth watering food pics. https://www.instagram.com/onthefly_catering/
Contact (626) 529-6315 or @onthefly_catering on Instagram for inquiries.

Those of us at Onomea Hub that have been so blessed to try his food at our events can say it is incredible; one of my favorite cooks on island. Keep this catering business in mind next time you plan an event and stay tuned for our future collaborations!
New Section Coming Soon: Movie of the Mahina
In our next issue, we’ll be starting off the new Mahina with a movie club. Most of the films will be documentaries available for free on YouTube so anyone can access. They will focus on themes around the history, agriculture, ecology, food, music, lifestyle, and culture of Hawaiʻi. In our anahulu hoʻonui issues we will announce the movie and share notes, written by Chase Mawae.
Stay tuned for more information in following issues. Aloha!
