  • Hala Exhibition Opening Reception at Wailoa Art Center on Friday, May 9th, 2025. 5pm-7pm. Celebrate the cultural significance and ecological importance of the hala plant in Hawaiʻi. Exhibit on view from May 10th - June 19th.

  • Hale O Lono Workday every 2nd Saturday of the month. May 10th, 2025. 9am-11:30am. Join them in connecting with ʻāina through traditional Hawaiian fishpond management in Keaukaha.   • 2025 Hilo Chocolate Festival at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel on Saturday May 10th, 2025. 9am-4pm. Enjoy Hawai'i Island grown cacao with free chocolate samples, tree to bar cacao exhibits and demos, free farm tours, agricultural exhibits, cacao seed giveaways, and a silent auction.
